Help me to unite my will with the will of God through the merits of my Savior Jesus Christ, and in particular through his patient wearing of the crown of thorns, which you daily contemplated with tender devotion.
Have pity on my adversity, comfort me in my affliction, and purify my intention. I humbly ask that you bring my cause to the throne of God. I know that through your intercession Our Lord often grants favors that seem impossible to human foresight, skill and efforts. Rita, you shine as a star of hope in the midst of darkness. Rita, intercede for us especially in those trials that appear hopeless and impossible to resolve.
